Success for Carlow and Kilkenny at Yes Chef Awards

Plenty of celebrations locally this week as a number of outlets in both counties took home prizes from the Yes Chef Ireland Awards.

Taking top titles for being the country’s best were Kilkenny city outlets Butcher (Best Steakhouse), Statham’s Kilkenny at the Pembroke Hotel (Best Hotel Restaurant), Café la Coco (Best Cafe) and Arán Artisan Bakery & Bistro (Best Social Media).

Dizzy Goat Restaurant in Skough was declared best in Leinster in two categories: Irish Culinary Experience and Destination Restaurant while the Kings Mills Restaurant in Kells was Highly Commended for Best Vegetarian Menu.

Pimento Wine and Tapas in Carlow town took the top spot for Best Small Plates Dining and was also best in Leinster for World Food Restaurant.
