A record number of Lamborghinis will be arriving in Kilkenny today.
190 supercars including makes such as Lamborghinis, Ferrari, McLeren, and Porsche will be driving in convoy through the streets of Kilkenny City.
They have already travelled through a number of cities around the country including Cavan, Salthill, and Limerick City to get to the finish line at 6pm.
The Parade and up to the top of the Castle Road at Nuncio Junction will be closed from 4pm until 8pm this evening.
Carlow Kilkenny Roads Policing Inspector Paul Donohue says there will be points along the route for people to see the cars:
“there will be road closures on the parade up to the top of the Castle road at Nuncio junction, so that road will be closed from 4pm to 8pm. They’re saying there’s about 250 vehicles in the Cannonball group and if people want to come and see them, they’ll be meeting up with, say, out Suburbian Kilkenny, but they’ll be coming through the city. So they’re coming in the Dublin road and turning left down John Street, and down John Street, and down Rose Inn Street, and left at The Parade.
