Support centre for male victims of domestic violence is extending its services to Kilkenny

A new outreach clinic for male victims of domestic violence is to open in Kilkenny City.

Amen, which is a national information and support service for men who’ve experienced violence in the home, is extending its clinics for the first time.

For the past 20 years they’ve only had two centres – one in Dublin and one in Meath.

However, from the 2nd of October they’ll be running a monthly outreach clinic in the Fr McGrath Centre, St Joseph’s Road in Kilkenny.

Manager of Amen, Niamh Farrell says they’re hoping people in this region who need help will come to it.

To make an appointment for the Kilkenny clinic, you can call the Amen helpline on 0818 22 22 40.
