Surge in people rushing to get health insurance before Lifetime Community Rating kicks in later

There’s been a massive surge in the number of people rushing to get health insurance before the Lifetime Community Rating kicks in tonight.

Under the new LCR regime, anyone aged over 34 who does not have private health insurance will have to pay higher prices if and when they do take out a policy.

VHI’s Kilkenny based customer service department is open until midnight tonight to facilitate customers.
