Carlow County Council has launched a new Affordable Housing Interest Survey to assess demand across the county.
It’s part of the Government’s Delivering Homes, Building Communities plan and aims to identify the need specifically in Carlow Town, Bagenalstown and Tullow.
The initiative is open to first-time buyers, fresh start applicants, including those who are divorced, separated, or who have gone through insolvency, and anyone over the age of 18 with Irish citizenship or the right to reside in Ireland.
Applicants do not need to currently live or work in the county.
The local authority says the survey will help inform future affordable housing developments in the area and anyone who feels they may qualify is asked to complete the short document online (find that here).
It will remain open until 5pm on the 31st of January, 2026.
