Talks resume aimed at averting rail strike for All Ireland Sunday
Talks aimed at averting further strike action at Irish Rail are resuming at the Labour Relations Commission this lunchtime.
It follows last week’s action by SIPTU and the NBRU that shut down the country’s rail network for 48 hours in a dispute over pay cuts.
Management say the cuts are temporary and must be implemented if Irish Rail is to remain viable.
The Unions are set to stage three more days of strike action starting next Sunday as Kilkenny and Tipperary meet in the All Ireland final.
