Tanaiste hopeful of resolution to Junior cert reform dispute

The Tanaiste says the Education Minister has been more than generous to teachers in terms of trying to reach agreement on Junior cert reform.

Joan Burton is visiting Carlow-Kilkenny today to canvass with Labour party candidate for the by-election Willie Quinn.

The ASTI and TUI met for their annual conferences earlier this week with the ongoing dispute over the new Junior cycle high on the agenda.

Speaking to KCLR Live earlier the Tanaiste said Jan O’ Sullivan has met with the teachers 5 times already and will continue her efforts until they find a solution.
