An Taoiseach will be in the South East this Bank holiday Monday to see for himself the damage caused by recent flooding.
Residents of Graiguenamanagh, Tinnahinch and Carlow town can expect to see Michéal Martin in their area this afternoon as part of his visit to counties Carlow, Kilkenny and Wexford.
Minister Kevin ‘Boxer’ Moran is also expected to visit the locality today.
It comes ahead of a Cabinet meeting tomorrow to further discuss emergency funding measures.
Meanwhile preparations are in place ahead of the risk of further flooding with another weather warning for later today.
A status yellow alert for rainfall comes into effect from 9pm on Monday for counties Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Waterford and Cork and is valid until 3pm on Tuesday.
The local authorities are continuing with measures to prevent any further flooding to those in vulnerable areas.
