A local TD is setting her sights firmly on retaining her Dáil seat in the upcoming general election.
Labour’s Ann Phelan confirmed that she will be seeking the party’s nomination at their Carlow/Kilkenny convention on the 28th of July in the Lord Bagenal.
However, Borris Labour councillor, William Quinn, could provide some unwanted competition for Deputy Phelan – given their close proximity – should he also seek selection.
But the Junior Rural Affairs Minister says she believes it’s all to play for on the night.
