A teenage girl is in custody in Kilkenny Garda Station this evening following the latest part of Operation Thor.
Earlier today, Gardaí from the South Eastern Region searched six locations in Portlaoise, Kilkenny and Waterford.
The operation took place in response to a large number of burglaries which had been committed in Carlow, Tipperary and Waterford last month.
Four men – ranging in age from 17 to 30 – were arrested and detained at stations in those counties, while a 16-year-old girl is being held in Kilkenny.
A large amount of stolen property was seized by investigating Gardaí.
