From the 20th of January, TFI Local Link Carlow Kilkenny Wicklow will introduce a new bus service between Fiddown and Kilkenny City.
As part of the Connecting Ireland Rural Mobility Plan, Route 891 will operate five daily return offering Monday to Saturday, with four on Sundays and Public Holidays.
It’ll provide peak-time and late evening services to Kilmoganny and Stoneyford Health Centres, and Tullahought Community Centre.
It’ll also provide connectivity to the villages and areas of Ormonde Road, College Road, Springhill, Danesfort, Ennisnag, Stoneyford, Kells, Dunnamaggin, Kilmoganny, Tullahought, Carrick-on-Suir, Dunbane Road and Piltown.
Speaking to KCLR news ahead of the launch, TFI Local Link Carlow Kilkenny Wicklow General Manager, Jackie Meally said: “This is the first ever service connecting Southwest Kilkenny and Carrick on Suir to Kilkenny City.
