The Cat Laughs Comedy Festival: First Lineup Announcement

The Cat Laughs Comedy Festival is back in the swing of things and gearing up for a busy weekend of comedy antics in Kilkenny this June bank holiday weekend.

Having been named title sponsors for the past two years, SKY are not appearing as part of the festival name this year for the ‘Cat Laughs 22nd outing.

Comedy gig-goers and look forward to hearing of the escapades of James Acaster, Aisling Bea, Karl Spain, Jason Byrne, PJ Gallagher, Maeve Higgins, Adam Hills, Sean Hughes, Reginald D. Hunter, Dom Irrera, Nish Kumah, David O’Doherty, Hector Ó Heochagáin, Jason Manford, Andrew Maxwell, Barry Murphy and Al Porter.

Having kicked off with a massive 21st birthday party last year, this bank holiday weekend will see a Gala Opening Show at The Hub, Cillin Hill, on 2 June featuring most of the names above.

Reginald D Hunter heads to the Watergate Theatre in the city with his new show The Aluminium Negro.

With Hector O’Heochagáin on board once more, he’ll join Barry Murphy and more for full commentary and banter with the bookies as the festival heads to Gowran Park Racecourse for the very first time for a full card of flat racing.
