Like so many fans of David Bowie’s work and legacy I was shocked and saddened to hear of his tragic death. However, this transformed in a weird way to wanting to tell people about his great body of work and to offer an opportunity to play his music again. We had played all his major hits throughout the day on KCLR but this was going to venture into album versions or obscure tracks, helped and prompted by listeners.
With 25 official studio albums, 3 or 4 official live albums and countless singles it was never going to fit in to the two hours we shared on KCLR, but I tried…
Thanks to everyone who texted, shared, confessed and helped.
Ni bheidh a lethéad arís ann ach bheidh a cheol ann go deo, is muid bhuíoch go deo dó, an Bowieach!
