On the Glanbia Farm Show this week we had an all female panel of Roisin Cahill of Roca Healthcare, Amii McKeever, editor of Country Living and Mairead Rohan, of Kilkenny Leader Partnershiop, who discussed the role of women in agri-business, the impact of food on a person’s physical and mental wellbeing and an upcoming conference on food entrepreneurship.
‘Farm to Fork’ takes place on Wednesday 4th March at Springhill Hotel and includes discussions on developing a new food business, engaging with relevant support agencies and how to drive on a new food business idea.
CERES, a support network for women in agri business hosts a conference next Tuesday 25th February at the Kilashee Hotel Naas and has a theme of ‘Striking the gender balance in Irish Agri-food’.
‘Mood, Food and the Gut is the theme of a seminar being held at Butler House Kilkenny on 26th February at 7pm and includes advice on improving dietary and lifestyle choices.
Amii McKeever also outlined her largely negative experiences test-driving an electric car.
