Tonight’s main topic was the weather….We were joined by Eamonn Grace, Dairy Adviser with Teagasc in Carlow and by Philip Donohue who farms in Goresbridge. Topics covered concentrated on the management of farms during this heavy weather and the slow growth this season.
We were joined on the phone by MEP Seán Kelly who brought us up to date on current issues at the European Parliament and the wider political issues at play in Brussels, Brexit being the main and persistent issues.
Dick Murphy of Murphy Motors Glenmore are running a children’s Farm Safety event on their premises on March 28th as part of the Farm Embrace initiative. Matt also spoke with Dick about their award as New Holland Dealer Of The Year and current trends in farm machinery.
