This week the Farm Show included an interview with Matt Dempsey about a new report on the Irish tillage sector. Matt, president of the Irish Tillage Industry group, outlined the state of the sector, the need to protect the scale and viability of the sector and told listeners how important tillage enterprises are to the wellbeing of Irish agriculture.

Thomas Duffy, president of Macra Na Feirme, spoke about how the organisation has managed to continue its social and educational programmes during the Covid crisis. Thomas also outlined the need for generational renewal as Irish agriculture assists in the recovery of the Irish economy post-Covid.
