Another contender’s declared for Kilkenny in the upcoming Local Elections.
Independent Ireland has announced Daniel Burke will run in the Castlecomer Local Electoral Area in June.
The 26-year-old finance professional is from Ballyouskill is educated to Masters level holding an MSc in Finance and Risk Management having attended the University of West London having attended Waterford IT and attained a Degree in Law and Business.
And he says he has a passion for driving real change in Irish politics and is an avid GAA fan and a former player for Tullaroan GAA Club.
Expressing his motivation to enter politics, Daniel highlighted his concerns over various issues plaguing the country, including the migrant crisis, healthcare crisis, housing crisis, and the neglect faced by farmers and rural communities.
“In observing the failures of our government over the years and the lack of consistent representation in our area, I felt compelled to take action,” said Daniel. “It’s unacceptable for some politicians to only appear when seeking votes every few years, leaving our concerns unaddressed.”
Daniel emphasized his commitment to offering the people of the Castlecomer Local Electoral Area an alternative and a voice to express their dissatisfaction with the current state of affairs. He pledged to be a present and accessible representative, actively listening to constituents’ concerns and advocating for their needs.
“I firmly believe that our community deserves a new, energetic voice that prioritises their interests and engages with them regularly,” stated Daniel.
Daniel chose to align himself with Independent Ireland due to its no-nonsense approach and commitment to sensible policies. He praised the party’s values of rewarding hard work while caring for the most vulnerable in society, as well as its stance on sensible migration, economics, and common sense solutions.
In announcing his candidacy, Daniel urged the residents of the Castlecomer Local Electoral Area to consider supporting him in the upcoming elections, emphasizing the need for fresh perspectives and proactive representation in local governance.
