The Rainbow Wednesday 20 2013
On the Rainbow Ade was joined in studio by students, parents and teachers of the Polish School, Equal Chances School, Carlow.
The group was led by Marta Szutkowska-Kiszkiel one of the teachers and founding member of the school who talked about how the idea of the school was conceived, the benefits to students and parents etc. The students also shared their personal experience of the school.
The show was interspersed with lovely pieces of music from Poland.
Ade was also joined on the ‘phone by Michael Omoteso from Nigerian Community Waterford who was talking about a Public Seminar on Depression coming up on the 26th February at the Edmund Rice Heritage Centre on Barracks Street, Waterford, starting from 11am till 2pm.
Michael emphasised the importance and relevance of the seminar in today’s environment and brought his own experience and knowledge as a Psychiatric Nurse to bear on the issue of Depression.
Mental Health Experts will be on hand to provide meaningful and useful information on the day.
