Efforts are underway to make a notorious stretch of road in south Kilkenny safer.
At the Piltown monthly meeting, councillors were informed of plans to install a static speed camera on the N25 between the Luffany and Glenmore roundabouts.
This measure comes ahead of a phased introduction of reduced speed limits, which will begin tomorrow.
Cllr. Pat Dunphy expressed hope that the presence of the speed camera would encourage drivers to slow down, enhancing safety for all road users in the area.
The new measures are part of ongoing efforts to address concerns over accidents and speeding along the busy route.
