Around 250 new chefs will be needed each year in Carlow and Kilkenny between now and 2020.
That’s according to the Restaurants Association of Ireland which says that the shortage of chefs across the country is reaching crisis point for them.
The vast majority of jobs in the hospitality sector relate directly to the food services sector.
