Third level students are set to walk off campuses in Carlow and across the country today.
They say the government needs to do more to support them as they prepare for the country-wide demonstration.
The Union of Students in Ireland has organised the action to highlight issues facing those in third-level education.
These include the lack of accommodation, fees and counsellor to student ratios.
