A Carlow contestant missed out on the top prize at the Pan Celtic National Song Contest last night.
Dara O’hEatun, from Carlow Gaelcholáiste, won third prize for his song “imithe uaim”,
meaning ‘Gone from me’.
19 finalists competed in the event in the Seven Oaks Hotel in Carlow last night.
The winner, Scoil Chriost Ri from Ennis, took home €1,000 as well as going forward to compete in the International Pan Celtic competition in Derry in April.
