Thomastown Gardaí recover significant amount of stolen property during operation in South Kilkenny

Gardaí in Thomastown say they’ve recovered a substantial amount of stolen property today.

An operation has been ongoing over the last number of days into burglaries that have taken place recently in the south Kilkenny area.

Today a property was searched in Mullinavat by both Armed Gardaí and uniformed members from Thomastown Garda Station.

Trailers, caravans, jeeps and a large amount of power tools were seized – the majority of which is believed to have been stolen from the area in the last few weeks.

A man in his 20s has been arrested and is being held in Thomastown Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
