Thousands expected to attend Pan Celtic Festival in Carlow this week

In the region of 10,000 people are expected to descend on Carlow this week, as the International Pan Celtic Festival kicks off.

The event – celebrating Celtic culture, music and dance – will be running until Sunday with different concerts and other events going on all over Carlow Town.

Organisers will welcome competitors from Scotland, Wales, Brittany, Cornwall and the Isle of Man during the festival.

It will officially begin at 8 o’clock tonight with a celebratory concert in the Visual.

Speaking to KCLR organiser Bríde de Róiste says they’re honoured to host the festival once again.
