Three people have been refused bail after they appeared before a special court sitting of Carlow District Court in connection with a major drugs seizure in Kilkenny.
Just over 9kgs of herbal cannabis, with an estimated value of €181,000 was seized at an address on the Castlecomer road close to the local city centre last Friday afternoon (13th Feb).
Judge Geraldine Carthy refused bail in each of the three applications and remanded the defendants in custody to appear before Kilkenny District Court via videolink for directions from the DPP.
