The need to double the number of CCTV cameras in Kilkenny City was among several issues highlighted during the August meeting of Kilkenny’s Community Local Safety Partnership (KCLSP).
Speaking at the Partnership’s August meeting, KCLSP Chair, Councillor Pat Fitzpatrick (FF) said the case for increasing the number of CCTV cameras from 22 to 44 had been well made.
Councillor Fitzpatrick said it was high time to get the additional cameras installed. Following this week’s meeting, he spoke to KCLR News about how the new policing model was settling in, the need to curb dangerous driving on Kilkenny’s roads and why he felt it was important that the KCLSP met throughout the summer.
