Tommy Walsh retires from Kilkenny senior hurling panel

Tommy Walsh has announced his retirement from the Kilkenny senior hurling side.
The Tullaroan man has won it all since joining the panel in 2002 with 9 All Ireland medals, 9 consecutive All star awards and he was hurler of the year in 2009.
He’s one of the most capped hurlers for Kilkenny ever making more than 55 appearances in the senior hurling championship between 2003 and 2014.
He’s also played in 6 different positions – mostly though in the number 5 jersey.
In a statement to KCLR this morning the Tullaroan man says he’s had the time of his life, lived his dream and has memories that will stay with him forever.
