Carlow’s Walsh Whiskey has picked up a prestigious award State-side.
The local company collected Best Irish Whiskey brand of the year at the New York International Spirits competition.
500 different spirits from all over the world were judged and ‘The Irishman’ was deemed best of the Irish whiskey brands.
Work is currently underway on a brand new distillery at Royal Oak – giant copper stills were delivered there last month and the project is thought to be on schedule for comissioning in February.
