Two health insurance companies are increasing their prices from April.
Irish Life Health is raising the price of its plans by an average of 5.9% from the first of the month for new customers, and the next renewal date after that for existing ones.
Meanwhile Level Health has announced an increase of €48 euro for its advanced “B”, “C” and “D” plans from April third.
It’s Irish Life Health’s second price rise so far this year, and says it’s a consequence of continuing medical inflation and a levy charge announced by the Government for the Risk Equalisation scheme.
