Two people rescued from the River Nore in Thomastown

Two people have been rescued from the River Nore in Thomastown this afternoon.

Emergency services including the Civil Defense and Rescue 117 were called when the two canoeists got into difficulty on the river.

Both have now been taken safely from the water.
