Two remanded in custody over Castlecomer car theft

Two people were arrested yesterday after a car was stolen in North Kilkenny.

The incident occurred between 4.30 and 6 o’clock yesterday evening when a vehicle was broken into and taken from The Square in Castlecomer.

The car was later recovered in Kilkenny City and two men were arrested and questioned.

They appeared this morning before a special sitting of Kilkenny District Court where they’ve now been remanded in custody.

They’re set to appear again next Tuesday morning at 10.30.
