Unusual discovery in riverbank on Carlow Kilkenny border

Carlow County Council are assisting the Irish Whale and Dolphin Group to remove the deceased Dolphin from its current location. IWDG will undertake testing to establish cause of death and if any follow up action is required.

Surprise for one man who had an unusual finding locally.

A Common Dolphin was found washed up on a local river bank.

The discovery came yesterday in the River Barrow in St Mullins by Tony McGahan.
