UPDATE:
A woman missing in Carlow since last night has now been found.
The woman believed to be in her forties was reported missing after she didn’t return home from walking her dog in the vicinity of the River Burrin.
A search involving members of the local Civil Defense, Fire Service, Gardaí and Rescue 117 then got underway.
ORIGINAL STORY:
A search of the River Burren in Carlow is set to resume this morning.
Rescue 117, the Gardaí and local fire service were drafted in last night after reports that a person had gone into the river.
However, that search was stood down after a couple of hours when nothing was found.
Gardaí confirmed to KCLR News that they have received a report of a missing woman but no more information is being made available about her yet.
