Van stolen while helping with homeless campaign in Carlow yesterday has been recovered

A van which was stolen in Carlow yesterday while helping out with a homeless campaign has been found.
The Opel Vivaro was taken at 10am yesterday from Castle Street in Carlow town and the found by Castlecomer Gardai in a housing estate there at 10:30 last night.
It will be technically examined today by the Gardai and then released back to the owner; however it did pick up some damage to the left hand side of it.
The van is property of the ‘Home to Rome’ cycle challenge and was helping with the ‘Jacket on your back’ campaign against homelessness when it was targeted.
Kevin Kelly from the Home to Rome Cycle told KCLR News that he’s glad to have it back but annoyed that it was taken while they were trying to do some good….
