Vegetable Oil powered vehicle one of two new machines added to Carlow Fire Service Fleet

Carlow Fire Service has added two new environmentally friendly vehicles to its fleet.

A hydro-treated vegetable oil–powered Renault HGV will handle major emergency coordination and heavy transport duties.

Also, a new fully electric Renault Master van will support logistics and training at the Hacketstown centre.

Carlow County Council says both vehicles will help lower emissions and improve air quality across the county.
