Waiting game for RehabCare clients in Carlow

It’s a waiting game now for users of the Carlow Rehab Care service with a planning decision due within weeks.
More than 5 thousand people have signed a petition to try and stop the service from being moved from its premises on the Killeshin Road to the Shamrock Business park in Graiguecullen.
Rehab themselves say their decision was made due to a leaking asbestos roof which they feel could be a health risk.
A planning application for change of use of the Graiguecullen premises is with Laois county council at present with a decision due on February 20th.
Councillors from Laois and Carlow met about it last night – Jennifer Murnane O’ Connor told KCLR they want to work with Rehab to resolve this.
