Anna Kavanagh and Johnny Keenan chat to Brian, abut the ‘Walk In Our Shoes’ campaign. People across county Kilkenny are invited to take part in Walk in Our Shoes 2026, a peaceful one-mile solidarity walk taking place in all 26 counties at 11am on Sunday, 27 September. Gathering at The Parade and walking to Kilkenny Courthouse. Walk in Our Shoes is a grassroots coming together of people concerned about the lack of justice, transparency and accountability in Ireland’s family courts. The campaign is calling for a family court system that is transparent, trauma-informed and trustworthy. Participants are asked to dress in black and carry children’s shoes, symbolising the childhoods shaped—and sometimes lost—through family court decisions. The Kilkenny walk will begin at The Parade at 11am and finish at Kilkenny Court House
