“Walk In Our Shoes” Solidarity Protest For Family Court Reform Takes Place In Kilkenny

A peaceful, one-mile solidarity walk calling for reform in Ireland’s family courts is taking place in Kilkenny City this morning (Sunday).

The “Walk In Our Shoes” initiative invites participants to gather at The Parade at 11am before walking to the Kilkenny Courthouse.

The campaign is demanding a family court system that is more transparent, trustworthy, and trauma-informed to protect children’s constitutional rights.

Those attending the peaceful gathering are asked to dress in black and carry a pair of children’s shoes to symbolise childhoods shaped by family court decisions.
