Water meter installers back on site in John Sweeney Park after Monday disruptions
Water meter installers are back in John Sweeney park today despite protests in the Carlow estate yesterday.
One man was arrested and is due in court tomorrow on public order offences while the Gardai are also investigating a complaint that a man sustained injuries to his foot under the wheel of a Garda vehicle.
Meanwhile a fire in the housing estate is also under investigation – a number of water meter barriers were set alight in the early hours of this morning.
Sub contractors for Irish water were back on site this morning and one of the workers told Sue Nunn they haven’t experienced trouble like this anywhere else…
