There are calls for more protection for the canals and waterways of Carlow/Kilkenny.
South Kilkenny Councillor Fidelis Doherty says a bill is currently making it’s way through the Dáil which would give extra protection to those who use our canals to live and work on among other things.
Speaking to KCLR News this morning, Councillor Doherty says it’s an important bill as it would also give further power to detect those using waterways for criminal activity.
