A Carlow councillor has raised concerns over council houses locally that appear to be vacant despite their tenants paying rent.
Jim Deane says some of the properties have been lying empty for more than two years and, given the housing crisis, he’d like to see them being lived in.
Local authority officials hands are tied as long as payments are covered.
