Speaking to KCLR Sport, Carlow manager Tom Mullally, reflected on his team’s performance, expressing disappointment with their effort before halftime.
“I think we were all disappointed with the 15 minutes before coming into halftime that’s where substantially the damage was done for us. We were chasing the game from there on”.
Despite the loss, Carlow manager stressed the importance of the game as a learning opportunity to help his team improve going forward.
“Game time is massive to us. Tonight was a competitive game, the pace the ball was moving at was something we haven’t been used to so far. If lads learn from that that will improve us going forward”.
As the league enters its final stages, Carlow will next face Laois this Saturday at Laois Hire O’Moore Park, a game that manager Tom Mullally hopes will see a strong turnout of supporters.
“We’re looking for supporters to come and support us. Carlow is a small enough county so everybody that can support we’d be looking to have at games”.
