Wet start for Carlow and Kilkenny after a night of stunning sky

It’s a rainy start to Tuesday for Carlow and Kilkenny.

Met Éireann’s forecasting it to stay wet and breezy across the morning but a clearance to sunny spells and scattered showers looks set to follow this afternoon with winds easing behind the rain.  While temperatures should range seven to nine degrees.

It comes after a night of stunning sky locally as the Northern Lights danced above.
