Woman assaulted by youths in Callan

A woman was assaulted in Callan last night.

The woman was walking through the playground in Bolton Woods when she was verbally abused by two youths at about midnight .

She was then approached by them and one kicked her while the other hit her with a stick before the two ran off.

Anyone with any information is being asked to contact Gardaí in Callan.
