A woman in her 60’s has died following a four car collision in Co Carlow yesterday.
It happened at around ten past 6 at Knockloe on the Tullow to Shillelagh road yesterday evening.
The 61 year old woman – who was a passenger in one of the cars – was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her body was removed to Waterford Regional Hospital where a post mortem is expected to be carried out later.
The driver of the car – a 71 year old man – was also injured and was taken to St Luke’s for treatment.
While the driver of a another car – a 45 year old man- was also was taken to hospital for treatment.
Gardai are appealing for any witnesses to contact Baltinglass Garda station.
