Gardaí in Thomastown are appealing for witnesses to a Fatal Road Traffic accident last night.
A 61-year-old woman died in a two car collision at Slieverue on the New Ross to Waterford Road shortly before 8 o clock last night.
The male driver of the second car received minor injuries and was taken to Waterford University Hospital for treatment.
The road is currently closed to traffic and local diversions are in place.
The scene will be examined by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators this morning and the road is expected to remain closed until midday.
