Woman injured in crash on the main Carlow-Kilkenny Road

A woman is receiving medical attention after a three-car crash on the Kilkenny road near Milford Cross.

Gardai, the fire service and ambulances remain at the scene of the smash which took place earlier this morning on the main Carlow-Kilkenny Road between the roundabout the Powerstown landfill and Milford Cross.

That section of the road was closed but has now fully reopened.

It’s understood the woman’s injuries are not life-threatening and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
