An appeal is going out locally for a live kidney donor for a woman living in Kilkenny.
53-year-old Laima from Lithuania originally but living in Inistioge, has no kidneys and her life currently revolves around a dialysis machine.
She has been on the waiting list for a transplant for the past 4 years – previous efforts failed and she has been on dialysis since.
Her friend Annette Ashe is hoping someone might come forward to donate a kidney .
