A local athletics group will soon be training on a track worth half a million euro.
Funding to the tune of €500,000 has been approved for the works at the Watershed in Kilkenny which began today.
The Kilkenny City Harriers athletics club will have to train elsewhere though for the next number of weeks.
However, speaking to KCLR News, Chief Executive of the Watershed, Dermot Gaynor says they hope to be back up and running by May.
