Most of the homes in South Kilkenny still without power should have it back by tonight.
ESB Networks are working to restore electricity to homes cut off since Mondays storm and have drafted in crews from Scotland, England, Wales and France to help them.
Their power check app has been updated and many of the local areas in Carlow and Kilkenny can expect to be switched on again later today.
Others will have their power restored tomorrow and Saturday with a few having to wait until Sunday.
Meanwhile water is still affected in some areas and tankers are still in place in Bilboa, Kildavin and Tynnock in Carlow as power has yet to be restored to those water plants in Carlow.
While Galmoy’s supply won’t be back up and running properly until later today – despite electricity having returned yesterday afternoon.
The Defence forces were supplying water in the area yesterday and will return this morning.
